Who we are
Serotek Automotive Ltd is an independent vehicle servicing business at Dock Road South, Birkenhead, CH62 4UB, serving the Wirral. You can contact us at serotek.automotive@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you request or manage a booking, we may collect your name, email address, mobile number, preferred contact methods, vehicle registration, mileage, make and model, requested service, information you provide about the vehicle, and appointment details.
Why we use it
We use this information to assess and respond to booking requests, provide quotes, arrange and deliver vehicle services, communicate about the work, keep appropriate business records, prevent misuse of the booking service and meet legal obligations.
Our lawful reasons
We process booking information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before providing a service and to perform an agreed service. We may also process limited information to meet legal obligations and for legitimate interests such as operating the garage securely, handling warranties or complaints and keeping accurate service records.
Who receives it
Information is available only to authorised SEROTEK staff and trusted service providers needed to operate booking, hosting and customer communications. We do not sell customer information.
How long we keep it
Completed job, invoice, payment-related and associated confirmed-booking records are normally kept for six years from the end of the relevant company financial year. Unconfirmed, declined, cancelled and no-show booking records are normally kept for no longer than 12 months after the proposed appointment. Related communications and backups follow the same applicable period. Information may be kept longer where reasonably required for an active warranty, complaint, legal claim, tax enquiry or other legal obligation, and is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. Some information may need to be retained where we have a legal obligation or another lawful reason. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Privacy requests can be sent to serotek.automotive@gmail.com.
